Samuel A. Scordato

Samuel A. Scordato, 88, of Mechanicsburg, passed away Oct. 12, 2019, at Holy Spirit Hospital.
He was born Sept. 6, 1931, in Morgantown, son of the late Mariano and Josephine (Latona) Scordato.
He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement, he was employed as a program analyst with the U.S. Government.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seaton Catholic Church, VFW post 6704 Mechanicsburg, American Legion post 26, Dillsburg, National Active and Retired Federal Employees, Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees, Capital City Polka Dancers, The Green Street Vegetarian Club and Sons of Italy.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Scordato; and sister, Rose Scordato.
He is survived by his wife, Clara (Cianfrocco) Scordato, of Mechanicsburg; son, Michael Scordato, of Morgantown; brother, Joseph Scordator and his wife, Alma, of, West Barnstable, Mass.; and granddaughter, Anna Marie Scordato.
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, at East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown.
