A representative from the Veterans Administration will make a presentation from 10:30-11:15 a.m. Oct. 29 at the Senior Monongalians, according to Vicki Lewis, marketing and activity coordinator for the center.
The representative will present information about the Aid and Attendance Service. A question-and-answer session will follow.
According to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, the benefits provide monthly payments added to the amount of a monthly VA pension for qualified veterans and survivors.
“This is an important program and there really isn’t a lot of information out about it,” she said.
She said all veterans, spouses and family members are invited to attend.
“It’s such an important program we might do it a couple of times a year,” Lewis said.
Senior Monongalians is in Mountaineer Mall, 5000 Green Bag Road. For more information, call 304-296-9812.
