Mazzie I. McCoy, 81, of Daybrook

Mazzie I. McCoy, 81, of Daybrook, died Friday, Sept. 6, 2019, in a fire that destroyed her home.
She was born Jan. 13, 1938, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Samuel George Carpenter and Nannie Mae Rager Carpenter.
Mrs. McCoy was a homemaker.
Surviving is her husband, George F. McCoy; a brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Eve Carpenter; one sister, Nora McCoy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Arley Guy Carpenter, John Carpenter, Fay Carpenter; and one sister, Martha Carpenter.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, in Blacksville, from 6-8 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oc.t 5, at the funeral home with the Rev. Freddie Eddy II officiating. Interment will follow at McCoy Cemetery in Daybrook.
The casket will remain closed.
