KINGWOOD, W.Va. – A body discovered Saturday was believed to be the Preston County man missing since May 29, according to people involved in his search.
Family and friends had combed the area for Philip “Buckie” Barlow since his burned pickup was found on Showerbath Road 10 days ago, hours after he failed to show up for work at a trucking company.
Preston County Chief Deputy Paul Moe Pritt said no identification can be made until the body is sent to the state medical examiner.
But in a Facebook post, the Tunnelton Volunteer Fire Department called off the search, noting “This is the time for the family and department to grieve. … Buckie was located and will be returning to his family for closure.”
