Eleanore Pauline Vukovich Mott, 86, of Fairmont, passed away Monday, March 3, 2025, in the Harmony at White Oaks in Bridgeport.
She was born May 1, 1938, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Nicholas Vukovich and Martha Recknagel Vukovich.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, William Robert Mott Sr., December 7, 2024.
Eleanore is survived by four sons and four daughters-in-law: William Robert (Patricia) Mott Jr. of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; Greg (Donna) Mott of Fairmont; Derek (Robin) Mott of Chester, Va.; and Kendall (Christine) Mott of Fairmont; a daughter and son-in-law, Janna (Robert) Yoder of Morgantown; 14 grandchildren, Nicholas Mott, Rachael Mott, Jacen Mott, Emily Mott, Gabe Yoder, Gavin Yoder, Gabrielle Mott, Caleb Mott, Eli Mott, Jacob Mott, Trinity Mott, Kayla Mott, Konnor Mott and Jon (Leslie) Garcia; two great-grandchildren, Kalei and Khloe Garcia; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Eleanore was a 1955 graduate of East Fairmont High School. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Fairmont.
She moved to Denver, Colo. in 1960 and there she met her husband, William. They married in November 1962 and started their family. They moved back to Fairmont in 1970.
Eleanore enjoyed drawing and painting throughout her life, and she was a gifted seamstress. She and her mother owned Martha’s Decorating, serving the Fairmont area for over 40 years.
After retiring, she devoted her time to her family, especially her 14 grandchildren, whom she dearly cherished.
The family has entrusted the arrangements to the Ford Funeral Home, Ford Chapel, 201 Columbia Street, Fairmont. In accordance with her wishes, cremation services will occur.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the 2 p.m. time of a memorial service, Sunday, March 9. The service of committal will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery & Mausoleum in Fairmont.
