Heather Denise Skidmore

Heather Denise Skidmore left this world Monday, March 3, 2025. She was born April 21, 1982, in Morgantown.
Heather was a compassionate, creative, empathetic and generous soul, who dedicated her life to caring for others. Employed at REM, her work as a caregiver was a testament to her boundless empathy and generosity.
An avid concert-goer, her creativity and love for music shone through in every performance she attended. Her home in Morgantown, West Virginia was filled with the comforting sounds of her favorite tunes and the loving presence of her two cherished cats, Stagger Lee and Delia. Heather’s love for her animals was a testament to her compassionate and generous spirit.
She is survived by her mother, Debra Skidmore; her brother, Christopher Watkins; and her longtime companion, Chris Ball.
She was preceded in death by her father, Dana Skidmore.
All who knew Heather are encouraged to share their memories and upload photos to her memorial page, so all can remember the love and warmth she brought into this world.
As we celebrate Heather’s life, we are reminded of what Helen Keller once said: “What we have once enjoyed deeply we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes a part of us.” Heather’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
No services are planned, and Heather will be cremated.
