Geraldine Varner

Geraldine “Jerry” Varner, 78, of Mooresville, died Friday, February 28, 2025 in the Mon Health Medical Center in Morgantown.
She was born February 15, 1947 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late Russell Tennant and Margaret Reeves Tennant.
Mrs. Varner was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints where she served as the history director for the church.
Surviving are two nephews, Terry Tennant of California and Allen Tennant of Japan; a sister-in-law, Yoshie Tennant of California; several brothers and sisters-in-laws on the Varner side along with several nieces and nephews also on the Varner side.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Ann Tennant, who died as an infant; a brother, Russell V. Tennant; and her husband, Ira “Buck” Varner.
Jerry chose cremation as her method of final disposition. She also requested that there be no services.
The Owen-Neely Funeral Home in Blacksville is in charge of arrangements.
