He was born December 8, 1936, in Canonsburg, Pa., to Frank J. and Helen Svitek Sluciak, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, John; and his sister, Pauline Stegenga.

After graduation from Canonsburg High School in 1955, he began working at a golf course and eventually was hired as an assistant pro. Eventually, he was hired to be the professional at Lakeview Country Club, Morgantown.
Frank and Rosemarie were a very successful team. Rosemarie managed the award-winning pro shop. Frank was an excellent golf teacher. He was on the PGA board for several years and was president of the board for the tri-state area for two terms. He retired from Lakeview in 1998. Frank was named Pro Emeritus at Lakeview and returned every summer to play his beloved course.
They divided their time between Morgantown and Palm Beach Gardens until 2022.
Frank also served in the Army National Guard.
He was a member
of Saint Patrick
Catholic Church, Palm Beach Gardens.
Frank is survived by his sisters, Rosemarie Pallaria, Carol Fragapane, and Aggie Williamson; and many loving nieces and nephews, and godchildren.
Upon retirement, Frank was interviewed by the local newspaper. This is a quote from that article:
“Few people have the opportunity to enjoy, as well as fulfill, a childhood dream. I have been blessed with having three of the most important things in life – a lovely, loving wife and family; a fine golf club, where I have served as golf professional and director of golf for more than 34 years; and faith that with God’s help, anything is possible.”
