Lula Maude Bright, 94, of Everettville, passed away Saturday morning, February 8, 2025, in her residence.
She was born November 12, 1930, in Hiller, Fayette County, a daughter of the late Harry Taylor and the late Lizzie Stewart Taylor.
Surviving Luly are four daughters, Brenda McGalla, Lois Neville, Carolyn Smith and Sarah Teets; 10 grandchildren; numerous great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Joyce Bowman.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Eugene Bright; and three children, James Taylor, Larry Taylor and Eugeneia Rowe.
Lula retired as a cook from the Monongalia County Board of Education.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, birdwatching from her window, and yard sales. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who took pride in making a great home and raising her children.
At her request, Lula has been cremated and inurnment was held in the Taylor Family Cemetery in Fairmont.
