Lola T. Owen

Lola T. Owen, 93, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2025.
She was born September 1, 1931, a daughter of the late Wilbert and Mildred Tennant.
Lola married Eugene “Doc” Owen, and together they opened Hillcrest Veterinary Clinic in 1961, where she worked as a veterinary technician and receptionist.
In her retirement, she continued advocating for the care of animals by working closely with local rescue groups within the Morgantown community such as Animal Friends of North Central West Virginia.
She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Kelley Owen (Mark Haseleu), and Kimberley Owen; along with sister-in-law, Betty Owen.
In addition to her parents, Lola was preceded in death by her husband, “Doc” Owen; siblings, Kennard Tennant and Danny Tennant.
Hastings Funeral Home has been entrusted with cremation arrangements.
Friends and family will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, from 12 to 2 p.m. Sunday, February 23.
