David A. Sine, 71, of Reedsville, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was born in Morgantown, WV on June 27, 1953, a son of the late Freddie David and Velma Gladys Moats Sine.
David was an avid ancestry “investigator”. He and his cousin, Sylvia, spent many a day hunting the back roads for ancestors and graves far and near. David’s other love was riding his Harley. He enjoyed the other bikers he met when out riding. Not to be forgotten was David’s green thumb. He never saw a plant he didn’t love (or try to bring home). He also enjoyed gardening, something he learned from his grandmother.
He could also be a couch potato when it came to the Mountaineers. He loved West Virginia football and basketball.
David also served his country proudly in the US Army and was a Son of the American
Revolution.
David was especially fond of the many dogs we shared. Pugs were an all time favorite of his, with Anna leading the pack. Jimmy Dean (a Dachshund rescue) certainly stole his heart too. He was a good friend to all our pets.
David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dr. Lori Ridob-Sine; a daughter, Tami Raymond; cousins, Sylvia Sine Whittaker, Gary Sine, Diane Johnson and Hilda Keig and all of their children. In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by two baby brothers, Gary David Sine and Larry Eugene Sine; grandparents, Lonnie and Leona Moats Sine and Jacob and Myrtle Wright Sine.
Compassionate and professional cremation services will be provided by the Field Funeral Home in Masontown, WV.
To honor David’s wishes there will be no public services. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
