Debra Ann Jefferys

Debra Ann Jefferys, 62, passed away in her home, with family by her side, Friday, February 7, 2025, after a long, hard-fought battle with illness. She is now at peace and flying high with her Lord.

She loved the outdoors, particularly hunting and fishing, birdwatching, planting flowers, gardening, and taking pictures. She also had a passion for collecting plush gnomes. She loved to call in and request songs while listening to country music on WKKW, especially on the “Drive at 5” with Mikey V. She further enjoyed using her iPad for artwork and keeping up with her friends and family on Facebook. She touched the lives of many through her daily uplifting messages.
She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 36 years, Roger Lee Jefferys; two sons, Roger Jefferys II and Benjamin Jefferys; daughter- in-law, Rose Jefferys; brothers, Edward and Keith Garletts; niece, Chasity Garletts and fiance Aaron McCabe; uncle, Raymond Dafonzo and wife Judy and family; aunt, Rose Davies and husband Jerry and family; aunt, Betty Johnson and family; sister-in-law, Becky Garletts and family; best friends, Karen Kapcsos, Charla Strakal, Dixie Bucklew, Mary Cathy Simmons and Vicki Blosser; her German Shepherd, Koa; and many other amazing friends and family.
Debra was preceded in death by her son, James Cody Jefferys; brother, Michael Garletts; maternal and paternal grandparents, Mable and Mike Dafonzo, and Rose and Ernest Garletts; uncle-in-law, Charles Johnson; dearest friend, Beverly Barton; and her beloved dog, Fern.
Debra had a strong will to live, and her faith never wavered in the face of adversity. She was always the best friend, wife and mother. Her strength was and will continue to be inspiring to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.
The family would like to express its gratitude to all the doctors and nurses responsible for caring for Debra over the years. They would especially like to thank the Fresenius Mon County dialysis team.
