Marjorie Lewellen

Marjorie Lewellen, 97, of Morgantown, West Virginia, formerly of Mount Morris, PA passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024 at home.
She was born on March 26, 1927 in Dilliner, PA, a daughter of the late Charles D. Dusenberry and Elizabeth Wade Dusenberry.
Marjorie had been a resident of Mount Morris for 74 years. She was a member of the Mount Morris United Methodist Church, Mount Morris Firemen Auxiliary, Mount Morris American Legion Auxiliary and the Mount Morris Senior Center. Marjorie was a former Secretary for the Cedar Grove Cemetery Company and former Treasurer for Mount Morris United Methodist Women and the Mount Morris Senior Center. She worked at Emigh’s Clover Farm Store, later owning it with her husband for 25 years, known as Lewellen’s Grocery and Hardware in Mount Morris.
Surviving is her brother-in-law: Mike Pallai of Morgantown, WV; nieces; Diane Pratt and husband Murray of Vista, Calif., Dixie Adams and husband Danny of Arthurdale, W.Va., Pamela LoFiego and husband Tom of Mount Morris, and Elizabeth Ann and husband Timothy Korzun of Morgantown, W.Va., nephews; Michael C. Pallai of Morgantown, W.Va., David E. Donley of Columbus, Ohio, Richard Donley of Bellefontaine, Ohio, James B. Donley of Moscow, Idaho and Jeremiah Hendershot. Deceased: her husband John Lewellen died on August 16, 2006. Also deceased are two sisters, Jackie Donley and Maxine Pallai; and one brother, Glenn Dusenberry.
Visitation will be held from 11 to 1 p.m. on Monday, December 30, 2024 in the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home, Inc. 324 Mount Morris Rd., P.O. Box 478, Mount Morris, PA 15349 Shane M. Ayers, Director with her service being held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Joseph Adams officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mount Morris, PA 15349
