Anita Louise Wolfe Loughrie, 87, of Fellowsville (Laurel Mountain Community), went home to be with her Lord and her husband, Frank Tuesday, November 26, 2024, in her residence, with loving family by her side. She was born April 22, 1937, in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Emerson Sanford and Odessa Virginia Ridenour Wolfe.
She graduated from Fellowsville High School, Class of 1955 and Fairmont Business College.
Anita previously worked as a secretary for Mon Valley Glass Company in Morgantown, as a secretary for Pierce and Pierce Accounting in Kingwood and Morgantown, and as a delivery driver for the Clarksburg Exponent Telegram in Clarksburg.
She was a member of the Community Christian Church of Laurel Mountain, where she served as the secretary and treasurer for many years.
Anita loved sewing, gardening, playing the accordion, singing gospel songs, her children and her many grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Cindy Rosetta Ridenour of Tunnelton, Mark Lee Wolfe and wife Renee of Tunnelton, Dana Franklin Loughrie and wife Alpha of Terra Alta, Teresa Louise Lovejoy and husband Dean of Kingwood, and Todd Allen Loughrie and wife Tuyen of Camden, N.C.; 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and six great-great- grandchildren; one brother, Adrian Emerson Wolfe of Fellowsville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Anita was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Delano Loughrie in 2012; one son-in-law, Brad Ridenour in 2016; one sister-in-law, Kathy J. Hamilton Wolfe in 2020; and one grandson, Sean Emery Loughrie in 2021.
Family and friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 5, in the Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Street, Newburg, where visitation continues from 9 until the service at 11:30 a.m. Friday, December 6, with Pastor Mike Matlick officiating. Internment will follow at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton.
