Donna Sue O’Malley, 70, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, November 22, 2024, in Morgantown.
Donna was born December 3, 1953, in Grant Town, a daughter of the late Alfred and Helen Neer Robey.
Survivors include her beloved son, Corey O’Malley and his life partner, Jill Riddell of Morgantown; and a brother, Michael Robey and his wife, Betty Ann and family. Her spirit was such that she was a mother to many including her son’s close friends, Derek Lee, Raymond Smith and Michael VanHorn. We would be amiss to not mention the close bond she carried with her lifelong friends, Mary Ann Watkins, Carlene Rose and Sandra Ball.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David O’Malley in 2020; and dear friend, Perk Biser in 2023.
Donna absolutely loved animals and worked at Cheat Lake Animal Hospital after her retirement from Verizon. She and her dear friends, Mary Ann and Carlene enjoyed traveling and went on many adventures together over the years.
She will be remembered for her quick wit and fierce love for those close to her.
Donna’s request for cremation will be honored by her family; a celebration of her life with close family will take place at a later date.
