Diana Lynn McGilton, 72, of Independence, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 21, 2024, in J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born April 13, 1952, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Clovis C. and Evelyn Uphold Lewis.
Diana is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ronnie McGilton; her daughters, Renee and husband Roger “Bud” Hawkins, and Susie Kisner; son, Robert “Bobby” and wife Deni Lewis; grandchildren, Garrett, Dillian, Hannah, Ceirria, Landon, Trenton, Calvin Jr., and Tierra; brother, Roger Lewis; and brother-in-law, Roger (Diana) McGilton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Rebecca Tonkins; daughter, Debbie Miller; brother, Bob Lewis; and sister, Pauline Lewis.
Diana was a dedicated employee at Family Vision and a faithful member of the Church of God on Grafton Road.
Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 25, in the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home, where visitation continues from 10 until the service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 26, with Pastors Tonya and Gregg Orr officiating. Burial will follow at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
