A deeply kind person, Dr. Houston’s career was a testament to his commitment to his patients. He received his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, followed by his internship at Bowman Gray Hospital in Winston Salem, N.C., and then returned to WVU for his residency

He was the beloved husband of Nancy Houston for 54 years; and the proud father of Todd M. Houston and the late Timothy Delaney Houston.
