Danny L. Price, 75, of Morgantown, passed on to his Lord Jesus Christ Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from a long and courageous battle with complications due to Agent Orange. Born February 21, 1949, in Morgantown, he was a son of the late Randolph and Betty Lewis Price.
Danny honorably served his country for three years with the U.S. Army, where he received his GED, and served a tour of duty in Vietnam.
He worked for a while at Sterling Faucet, and later retired from the photo department of K-Mart. In between that time, he also studied theology at the Houston Texas Bible College for three years, and answered his true calling to the ministry, serving at the Moundsville Pentacostal Church for 33 years.
In 1969, Danny “stole” the love of his life, Sharon Jean Kohut, and they married July 25, 1969, enjoying 55 years of marriage.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sisters, Trudy Guiseppe (Kenneth), and Sandy Glover (Jim Boothe); a brother, Junior Price (Heidi); a brother-in-law, Greg Kohut; and several nieces and nephews. He was also known as Pap to Kamari, Katana, Korai, Khalil and K-waun Hives.
Also deceased are a sister, Dottie Webber (Carl); his in-laws, Mike and Jean Kohut; and a sister-in-law, Betty Bliss.
Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, November 1, in the Riverside Apostolic Church, Westover, where visitation continues from 11 a.m. until the 12 noon hour of service Saturday, November 2, with Bishop Edwin Harper officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will be in Fairview Cemetery, Taylortown.
