Patricia Grace McConnaughey Frankenberry, 87, of Morgantown, died Tuesday, October 22, 2024, in the Mon Health Medical Center.
She was born November 20, 1936, a daughter of the late Richard and Louise Baldwin McConnaughey. She was a long-time member of Sabraton Hill Baptist Church in Morgantown, and she was a graduate of Morgantown High School.
Patricia was formerly an employee with Independent Dressed Beef Company, where she served for over 15 years as a bookkeeper, as well as a receptionist for Vision Homes, Inc. for a number of years.
Patricia is survived by one daughter, Sharlene L. Friend and spouse Fred Friend of Morgantown; two sons, Richard A. Frankenberry of Fairmont, and Bryan S. Frankenberry and spouse Crystal Frankenberry of Powell, Wyo.; one sister, Dian Bucklew of Morgantown; as well as her daughter-in-law, Cindy Frankenberry Dice of Point Marion. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Scott (Kacey) Friend, Ashley (Sean) Wheeler,
Samantha (Ryan) Taylor, Kristin (Travis) Embacher, Nicole Frankenberry- Saas, Thomas, Evan and Samuel Frankenberry, and Jacob and Zekeal Frankenberry; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Margo, Colton, Ace and Taylor; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald S. Frankenberry; her son, Ronald L. Frankenberry; grandson, Ronald S. Frankenberry II; sisters, Dixie Molla and Joy Bucklew; and four brothers, Richard, Donald, Russell and Lewis.
Friends and family will be received from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, October 24, in Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce Street, Morgantown, where visitation continues from 10 until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, October 25, with Pastor Stephen Dodrill officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial
Gardens.
