Booking information through the North Central Regional Jail and also information from the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department indicates that Morgantown businessman John Raese, president and CEO of Greer Industries and chairman of the board of West Virginia Radio Corp., had been arrested Saturday by the sheriff’s department for DUI of .15 or higher.
The legal limit in West Virginia is .08.
Officials with the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department could not provide further details on Sunday, indicating more information would be available in the criminal complaint that was filed in Monongalia County Magistrate Court. Court offices are closed until Tuesday due to the Columbus Day holiday.
The Dominion Post will publish those details in the Wednesday print edition.
Raese previously ran as a Republican candidate for governor of West Virginia and, in 2012, for the U.S. Senate.
