Florence Bonvenuto, 95, a 70-year resident of Point Marion (1947 – 2017), died Sunday, October 6, 2024, in Parma, Ohio.
She married Frank Bonvenuto in 1947, moved to Point Marion, and raised three children: Donna, Mark and Frank, Jr. Florence and Frank enjoyed 64 years of marriage until his passing in 2011.
Florence had worked for WVU Hospital, Mylan Pharmaceuticals and Beaumont Glass, all in Morgantown, retiring in 1991 from Beaumont.
She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, a meticulous housekeeper, and loved to cook and bake, always ready to prepare wonderful meals for family and friends to enjoy.
In December of 2017, Florence relocated to Parma, where her youngest son, Frank, Jr., became her caregiver.
Surviving are two sons, Mark Bonvenuto of Hartville, Ohio and Frank Bonvenuto Jr. of Parma; four grandchildren and four great- grandchildren; a sister and two brothers.
Her oldest child, Donna Bonvenuto passed away in February of 2018.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., when a prayer service will be held, Monday, October 14, in the RICHARD R. HEROD FUNERAL HOME, Point Marion, Philip S. Rishel, owner and director. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1 p.m. in St. Hubert’s R.C. Church. Interment in Evergreen Memorial Park, Point Marion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations, in Florence’s name, to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, in honor of her late daughter, Donna; or to the National Kidney Foundation.
