A third man believed to be involved in a drug distribution conspiracy at a North High Street apartment is facing charges in Monongalia County.
On Saturday, The Dominion Post reported the arrests of Joseph S. Gentile, 61, and Destin Alexander Mclendon, 22, made by officers with the Mon Metro Drug Task Force and the Morgantown Police Department Special Response Team during the warranted search of 510 N. High St., Apartment B, on Thursday.
Gentile and Mclendon were each charged with three counts of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, fentanyl and crack cocaine. They were arraigned Friday in Monongalia County Magistrate Court.
A third individual facing the same charges, Lonnie Lee Percy, 47, of Warren, Mich., was arraigned Saturday in Monongalia County Magistrate Court where bond was set at $75,000.
Bonds for Mclendon and Gentile were set at $50,000 and $30,000, respectively.
According to court records, officers encountered Percy and Mclendon inside the apartment identified as Gentile’s residence.
Law enforcement found what was described as “distribution quantities” of meth, fentanyl, and crack inside the apartment as well as cash, handguns, packing material and digital scales consistent with the sale of illegal drugs.
All three men are in custody at North Central Regional Jail. Preliminary hearings are currently scheduled for Sept. 19–20.
