Daniel Webster Varner, 72, of Granville, died at his son’s home in Sycamore, Pa. on Thursday, August 29, 2024.
He was born Aug. 12, 1952, in Morgantown, a son of the late James “Bud” Varner and Maxine West Varner.
Mr. Varner was still working right up to the time that he got sick. He worked as a mechanic for Francis Engineering of Morgantown.
Surviving are two sons, Brian Varner, of Sycamore, Pa., and Eric Varner, of Morgantown; two brothers, Delmas Varner, of Hundred, and David Varner, of Cassville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis Varner and Donald Varner; and one sister, Dema Parrotta.
Friends may call at the Owen-Neely Funeral Home, 5894 Mason-Dixon Highway, Blacksville, WV, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. with Evangelist Steve Stevens officiating.
Burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
