Betty Sue Anderson, 76, of Morgantown, passed away at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport on Saturday, August 24, 2024.
She was born in Morgantown on July 29, 1948, a daughter of the late William A. and Reva G. Kelley Anderson.
She graduated from Morgantown High School Class of 1966, Midland Technical College and earned an associate’s degree from South Carolina in 1992. She worked 20 years for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania before retiring and retired from the Monongalia County Board of Education where she was an LPN Nurse.
She was a dedicated member of the Samaria Free Methodist Church and a member of the homemaker’s club.
She is survived by three sisters, Phyllis Myers, of Bridgeport, Freda Carpenter and her husband, Charles, of Fairmont, and Mary Heck, of Loraine, Ohio; one brother-in-law, Albert Mathena and 10 nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Marion Satterfield and Shirley Mathena; two brothers, William R. Anderson and Edward Anderson; and two brothers-in-law, John Heck and Raymond Myers.
Friends may call at Carpenter and Ford Funeral Home, 209 Merchant St., Fairmont, WV, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday. A service will be held at the funeral home at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 30, with Pastor Steve Stemple officiating. In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated as her final form of disposition.
