Kicking off fall festivities for the upcoming 75th anniversary of Charles Schulz’ “Peanuts,” the beloved comic strip, Peanuts Worldwide and Alpaca Acres Farm and Fun announces the opening
of a “Peanuts”-themed maze, created in collaboration with the world’s largest corn maze consulting company, The MAiZE Inc.
Alpaca Acres Farm and Fun’s main maze, which will feature the iconic scene of Snoopy on top of his dog house, will cover 4 acres. And for the kids, or those of you who prefer a shorter trip, you can enjoy the farm’s “mini maze” which is only 2 acres.
The corn mazes are part of Alpaca Acres annual Fall Fest. From the 200-foot Mountain Slide to the Alpaca Express — there’s lots to do at the farm. The farm store will be open and treats like Alpaca Acres homemade donuts and famous apple cider slushies will be available.
Alpaca Acres Farm and Fun’s Fall Fest begins Sept. 14. Tickets will be available at AlpacaAcresMd.com starting today.
Alpaca Acres Farm and Fun is one of more than 75 farms in North America selected by Peanuts Worldwide to create a Peanuts maze this year. Collectively, the farms — which span 35 states and provinces, from California to New York, Ontario to Texas — are expected to attract more than 2 million visitors.
“For 75 years, Peanuts has charmed, delighted, and moved fans through my father’s creativity and wit — and what a wonderful way to celebrate his work than with the ingenuity of these Peanuts corn mazes,” said Jill Schulz, daughter of Charles Schulz. “It will be a thrill to see Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang rising from the heartland, and I just wish my dad could see his creations ‘writ large’.”
“We’re thrilled to work with Peanuts Worldwide and The MAiZE to bring Schulz’ characters to life in our corn mazes,” says The Hott Family who own Alpaca Acres Farm and Fun. “We’re honored to help celebrate the 75th anniversary events commemorating Charles Schulz and Peanuts.”
