Freda Marie (Plum) Conner, 98, of Uniontown, Pa., formerly of Preston, W.Va., passed away peacefully in the WVU Medicine Uniontown Hospital on Friday, August 9, 2024.
She was born May 7, 1926, in Preston, W.Va.
Freda was a very loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was a faithful believer and member of Bible Baptist Church, Uniontown, Pa.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Frank Wesley Plum and Charlotte Durr Plum; husband, Willie Conner; daughters, Ellen Patricia Baker and Mary June Johnson; and four siblings, Pauline Friend, Dick Plum, Dorothy Stone and Gay Maneer.
Surviving are three children, Helen May Howell, of Uniontown, Pa., and Lottie Marie “Peggy” Zweyer and Donald Wayne Conner (Jennie), all of Masontown, W.Va.; a special grandson, Levi Zweyer Jr., of Masontown, W.Va.; 51 grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Martha Hagues, of Ohio; and many, many, nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at Kingwood Funeral Home, 295 S. Price St., Kingwood, WV, from noon on Thursday, August 15, to the 2 p.m. hour of funeral service with Pastor William “Bill” Winston officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Freda be made to the Bible Baptist Church Bus Fund, 1 Evergreen Terrace, Uniontown, PA 15401.
