Suburban Lanes offering fall youth league

MORGANTOWN — Suburban Lanes has been hosting the Summer Fun Program since May and the program ends Aug. 31.

“It’s a good way for parents to bowl with their kids, the kids receive free items and get to spend time with family,” general manager Justin Malik said.

School-aged children are eligible to participate in this program, where Suburban Lanes provides one free game of bowling, free shoe rental and one free food item per day.

Coming up in September, Suburban Lanes will also be hosting the 2024 Fall Youth League.

“The youth league is a great thing, it gets kids on a team,” Malik said. “It’s especially great for kids who might not be good at individual things. It allows them to be a part of a team and makes it easier for them.”

The Youth League is for kids who want to improve their bowling skills, with free certified coaching and the opportunity to earn scholarship money for their future.

“The biggest thing to me is the scholarship opportunities, we give out scholarships throughout the season and kids can win thousands of dollars in scholarships for their futures,” Malik said.

The league kicks off Aug. 24 at 10 a.m. with a sign-up pizza party, free drinks and free bowling for the kids.
