Tonique’s Trilogy treats curls with respect

Having naturally curly hair is a gift — or so people tell me. Sure, it is versatile, striking and full of personality, but being a curly girl comes with some challenges.

Curls require specialty products and care to maintain their health and appearance. Hairstylists who lack the proper training will often wet curly hair and then cut it as if it were straight. This leads to frizz, uneven layers and more than a few unhappy tears while contemplating one’s reflection in the mirror.

Westover is home to a rare salon that advertises services geared toward those with curly hair. Originally opened in downtown Morgantown in 2000, Tonique’s Trilogy moved to its current location at 725 Fairmont Road (in the plaza with Goodwill and the Coffee Tree Roasters) in 2020, offering an expanded space to meet the growing demands of its clientele.

Beth Clark, a Morgantown Beauty College graduate, took over ownership in 2013 and has cultivated a team of highly trained professionals who are passionate about their craft. While it offers traditional salon services like waxing, nails and hair color, Tonique’s also has  specialists to ensure that curly-haired clients leave satisfied. Using techniques like dry-cutting curly hair in its natural state, the stylists respect the hair’s personality and work with the unique curl pattern to deliver the best results.

Whether you have loose waves, tight coils or anything in between, the stylists at Tonique’s Trilogy are equipped to handle your curls with the care they deserve.

Tonique’s Trilogy is open from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m.-4 p.m. on Saturdays. Online booking is available at toniquestrilogy.com, so finding a time that works in a busy schedule is a breeze.

Tonique’s Trilogy delivers top-tier (yet surprisingly affordable) service in a welcoming and upscale environment.
