Hallie Knotts

Hallie R. Knotts, 80, of Rowlesburg, passed away at Peace Health Care at Dennett Road Manor in Mountain Lake Park, Md., on Wednesday, July 24, 2024.  

He was born on Aug. 29, 1943, in Tunnelton, son of the late Archie Monroe Knotts and Lelah Montell (Wolfe) Tomlinson.  

Hallie was a retired truck driver for Anchor Motor Freight-Leaseway Transportation with over four million miles without a chargeable accident. His hobbies were hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, gardening and being outdoors. Hallie enjoyed playing softball, cornhole, horseshoes, being a mechanic and doing carpentry work. He also enjoyed watching boxing on TV, chewing tobacco, and most of all, loved spending time with family and friends.  

He is survived by one daughter, Lisa Warnick and husband, Jeff, of Rowlesburg; one brother, Eugene Knotts and Janet, of Walker, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Mary Wine; and several nieces and nephews.  

In addition to his parents, Hallie was preceded in death on Jan. 7, 2024 by his wife, Beverly Knotts; one son, Barry Ray Knotts, and survived by his wife, Carla and stepchildren, Holly and Nick; and one sister, Emma Jean Montell Luzader and husband, Richard; one brother, Denzil Knotts, and he is survived by wife, Roberta.  

Family and friends will be received at Bolyard Funeral Home, 79 Morgantown Ave., Newburg, WV, from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28. Private interment will be at Sander Hill Cemetery at a later date.
