Dr. Sandy L. Burkart peacefully passed away on March 13, 2024.
In honoring his wishes, a celebration of his life will be held at the Erikson Alumni Center on July 27. The family will be receiving friends and family at 11 a.m. with a ceremony of remembrance to follow.
Sandy was dedicated to improving the lives of those around him, and so we ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to an organization that was close to his heart, Sierra Leona Rising: sierraleonerising.org
For several years Sandy was actively raising funds for Sierra Leone and asked his family to continue his mission.
