The Mon Health Medical Center Foundation raised $80,000 at its 16th Invitational Golf Classic sponsored by WVRC Media earlier this week.
As a part of the Bill Hennessey Golf Series at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport, the 16th Invitational Golf Classic hosted 116 golfers in support of the critical needs of Mon Health Medical Center.
Tournament sponsor was WVRC Media and Platinum sponsors were AT&T, PNC Bank and Radiological Physician Associates Inc.
“This event is one we look forward to every year. It is a great time of golf and philanthropy, and we are so grateful for the support of our sponsors who made this event a reality,” said Luella Gunter, executive director of Philanthropy at Mon Health System. “Through the generosity of our donors, we were able to raise significant funds in support of various projects for the benefit of Mon Health Medical Center and the patients we serve.”
The second event in the Bill Hennessey Golf Series is the DeLynn Memorial Golf Classic set for Aug. 5 at Pete Dye. Registration for the event is open and sponsorships are now being accepted.
