Marjorie Larew

Marjorie “Marge” Jean (Culberson) Larew, 70, of Marquess Road, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024.

She was born on Dec. 30, 1953, in Grafton, daughter of the late Ledus and Emilia “Emily” Mayle Culberson.

Marge graduated from Grafton High School. She owned and operated Marge’s Quick Stop and was the office manager for years for her husband, Lowell’s, business, BB&T Auto Crushers, Larew Auto Wrecking and Used Cars, Lost Creek Savage, L and M Recycling and several other companies.  

She was an active member of the Message of Freedom Church in Grafton, where she would support many religious organizations. She was amazing with children, always helping others and for many, was the life of the party. She enjoyed lying at the pool, traveling and loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. Her second love was her four-legged buddy, Sophie.  

Marge is survived by one son, Lowell Jeremy Larew (Mandy), of Morgantown; two stepsons, Thomas Lynn Larew (Rhonda), of Augusta, W.Va., William “Bill” David Larew (Dawn), of Thornton; one stepdaughter, Beverly Ann Larew (Eddie), of Newburg; five grandchildren, Hudson Larew, Justin Larew (Morgan), Stephanie Plum (Derek), Emily Burns (Zack) and Brittney Ringer (Damian); six step-grandchildren, Jessica and Justin Decewicz, Jacklyn “Jackie” Annon (Stanley), Dakota Cline, Dakota Larew (Joanna), Corey Watkins (Courtney) and Zach Watkins (Brittany); and several great-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Randall Culberson and Robin “Robbie” Culberson, both of Lambertville, Mich.; one brother-in-law, Larry Larew, of Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Kim Culberson, of Toledo, Ohio, Barbara Larew, of Grafton, and Lalah Wolfe Larew, of Marquess; several cousins, nieces and nephews.  

In addition to her parents, Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Thomas Larew on Jan. 9, 2023; two sons, Gregory Brian Larew and Eric Joshua Larew; one stepson, Lowell Thomas Larew Jr.; two brothers, Anthony Jerome “Tony” Culberson and Teddy Lee Culberson; two sisters-in-law, Wilda Larew Bailey and Theresa Culberson; one brother-in-law, Carl Wayne Larew Sr.  

Family will receive friends at Message of Freedom Church, 1008 George Washington Highway, Route 50, Grafton, WV 26354, from 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, until the time of the funeral service at noon with Pastor Mike Stottlemyer officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Zion Cemetery in Moatsville.
