Summer fun continues with several local events

July is here and Mountaineer Country invites you to experience summer life with some amazing community events! From arts to diving there are so many fun events happening this month. “Journey” to the past at the Ruby Summer Concert Series and help the city of Morgantown celebrate Don Kotts’ 100th birthday.

Monongalia Arts Center, all month long  

Have you ever dreamed of being an artist? Learn to be by taking a class. Monongalia Arts Center offers classes all month long from watercolor painting to partner dancing. Find a variety of classes for kids through adults to take. You can also find three different camps this month for kids ages 6-13.  

Resurrection — A Journey Tribute Concert, 6:30-10 p.m.  July 12 

Spend another Friday night under the lights at the Ruby Summer Concert Series. Resurrection – A Journey Tribute travels across the country to  bring fans of Journey together. Hear the many iconic songs including everyone’s favorite “Don’t Stop Believin.” 

Summer Arts Walk, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.  July 13 

Lights, camera, action! Celebrate the anniversary of the Metropolitan Theatre and Don Knotts’ 100th birthday at the “100 Years of Entertainment” Arts Walk. Throughout Downtown Morgantown, you’ll find local arts and crafts from the creative people in our community. Don’t miss out on these treasures you won’t find anywhere else.  

USA Diving Junior Nationals, July 28-Aug. 7  

Mylan Park Aquatic Center is welcoming the top divers in the country to compete in the national diving championship. This event is set to bring together diving enthusiasts from all over the country. Dive right in as a spectator of this esteemed event and see the best of the best compete. Tickets are on sale now at mylanpark.org/2024-usa-diving-junior-nationals/.
