Pamela Wehner

Pamela A. Wehner, 76, of Rogers, Ark. passed away on June 25, 2024.  

She was born on July 24, 1947, to Charles and Jerry Wehner, of Kingwood.  

Pamela graduated in 1969 from West Virginia University with a BA in political science, and soon established a career at the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, D.C. Pamela there served in 1969 to 1970 as aid to Honorable Chalmers Wylie and then to Minority Leader Gerald Ford.  

From 1971 to 1992, Pamela served as staff and then executive assistant to Honorable John Paul Hammerschmidt, while also serving on many campaigns and national electoral boards. Following Mr. Hammerschmidt’s retirement, from 1993 to 1996 Pamela underwent training at the FAA and NTSB and joined the National Transportation Safety Board staff. Pamela retired from government service in 1996 to Rogers, Ark. where she built a house and where she resided until her death.  

Pamela was predeceased by both parents and by brothers, Stephen and Richard Wehner.  

She is survived by brother, Charles Wehner (Gail), of Vero Beach, Fla.; sisters, Dr. Paulette Wehner/Charles (Dr. Mitch Charles), of Huntington, and by Patricia Wehner, of Birmingham, Ala.; beloved nieces and nephew, Matthew Wehner, Amanda Wehner/Hendry (Frank), Emilie Charles and Olivia Charles; and by great-nephews, Alex and Charlie Hendry.  

Pamela will be laid to final rest in her loved city of Rogers, Ark. at St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery in a private ceremony.
