Support group opens for parents of children waitlisted for autism evaluations, services

The West Virginia University Center for Excellence in Disabilities (CED) is launching the Mind the Gap: Parent Education and Support Group to offer guidance and support for families who have a child on a wait list for autism evaluations or services. Parents who are concerned their child is showing signs of autism spectrum disorder are also welcome to join and learn more.

Meetings are held from 6-7:30 p.m. on the first Wednesday of each month in the second floor conference room at the WVU CED in Morgantown beginning in August. Virtual attendance is also an option.

WVU CED is located at 959 Hartman Run Road.

Mind the Gap support group meetings are free to attend, but registration is required. Zoom link provided through registration: https://cedwvu.wufoo.com/forms/mind-the-gap-parent-education-and-support-group/
