Adam Andrew McGilton, age 69, passed away on June 18, 2024, at his home in Morgantown, after a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 13, 1955, in Morgantown to Charles and Pearl McGilton.
He was a 1973 graduate of Morgantown High School. He was employed for many years as an electrician, plumber and HVAC technician. Adam was outgoing, funny and enjoyed telling everyone stories from his adventures of attending concerts all over the country in the late 70s. His love for music endured even into his later years as he’d spend much of his days listening to his favorite 70s hits.
He is survived by his daughters, Michelle Morris (Steve) of Morgantown and Tammy Galuska (Chad) of Charleston, S.C.; his sister, Charlotte Hawkins of Kingwood; his mother, Pearl McGilton of Morgantown; his nephews, Michael and Kevin Casino of Kingwood; and his grandsons, Evan and Owen Galuska of Charleston, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles McGilton.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1p.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Following the funeral service, Adam will be laid to rest at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
