Walker ’s Warriors Blood Drive brought donors to First Presbyterian Church in Morgantown Wednesday to commemorate the life of Demetry “Mack ” Walker. It was three years ago, on Juneteenth that Walker died following a battle with leukemia.
As part of his treatment for leukemia, Walker relied on blood transfusions and his mother, Danielle Walker, has often expressed her gratefulness for the blood donors who were able to help her son.
The American Red Cross said there is a critical need for blood donors now. Donors of all blood types are needed, especially those with type O blood.
