Delmar Leroy Davis, 79, of Kingwood, passed away at home on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
He was born in Morgantown on Feb. 5, 1945, a son of the late George B. and Hazel Margaret (Hall) Davis.
Delmar was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He worked at Ruby Memorial Hospital for several years in the housekeeping department. Delmar faithfully lived for the Lord. He was a member of the Mountainview Community Pentecostal Church where he assisted with every aspect of the church, including being a pastor. Delmar also enjoyed fishing and going to the beach.
He is survived by his loving wife, Edna (Wilhelm) Davis; three sons, Jeff Davis and wife, Tiny Ann, of Masontown, Tracy Davis and wife, Liz, of Wanna, W.Va., and Shawn Davis and wife, Roberta, of Morgantown; two daughters, Kimberly Bonnette and husband, Mike, of Morgantown, and Kelly Tasker and husband, Ed, of Reedsville; two stepsons, Richard Wilhelm and wife, Cindy, of Albright, and Steve Wilhelm and wife, Heather, of Kingwood; one stepdaughter, Tammy Childers, of Kingwood; 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a half-sister, Trink Mollisee, of Morgantown.
In addition to his parents, Delmar was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Lee Davis and one brother, Larry Davis.
Friends may call at the Mountainview Community Pentecostal Church, 392 Mountainview Road, Morgantown, WV 26508 from 1 p.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024, until the 11 a.m. time of service on Wednesday, June 12, with Pastor Donna Dalton and Shawn Davis Jr. officiating. Interment will be in Davis Cemetery.
