Penny Marie Skidmore, 69, of Morgantown, passed away at WVU Medicine – J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown on Friday, June 7, 2024.
Penny was born July 29, 1954, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Russell and Billie Weston Frum.
Survivors include her three children, Brent Skidmore and wife, Nicole, of Morgantown, Jeff Skidmore, of Morgantown, and Carrie Sayre and husband, Nathan, of St. Albans; four grandchildren, Kennedy, Reese, Rowan and Noelle; three brothers, Gary Frum, Randy Frum and wife, Liz, and Rob Frum, all of Morgantown; her two sisters-in-law, Gina Radabaugh, of Arthurdale, and Debra Watkins, of Morgantown; and her nieces and nephews, including Rhonda Vrabel, Crystal Frum, Leslie Frum, Christopher Watkins, Scott Frum, Heather Skidmore, Beau Frum and Michael McGee. Penny leaves behind a close extended family including Misty Rice, Theresa McCutcheon, Edward McCutcheon and Hannah Jeffries.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Skidmore; brother, Mark Frum; sister-in-law, Fran Frum; and brother-in-law, Dana Skidmore.
Penny was a kind and loving person who never met a stranger and helped anyone who ever needed it. She loved her children, but her greatest joy in life came from her grandchildren. She was the quintessential grandma who spoiled her grandkids with every chance she got. She was quick-witted, enjoyed movies, crossword puzzles, Sudoku and going to the beach.
At her request, there will be no public services, and Penny will be cremated.
