Lenora June Perrine, 91, of Spelter, W.Va. passed away to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at Sundale Nursing Home.
Lenora was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Grantsville (Calhoun), W.Va., the daughter of the late Orvle Ted Crawford and Verna (Cain) Crawford.
Lenora was a member of the United Methodist Church, of Spelter, W.Va., where she volunteered much of her time to activities and sang in the choir. She also volunteered in fundraising events for the local Spelter Volunteer Fire Department. She always worked at the voting polls for every election. Lenora will also be remembered for her effort in the class action lawsuit Perrine v. Dupont case.
She is survived by one daughter, Saundra Holepit and late husband, Eddie, of Morgantown; one son, Willis Perrine Jr. and wife, Crystal, of Morgantown; two grandsons, Edward L. Holepit and Michael W. Holepit, both of Bridgeport; two great-granddaughters, Ava Marie Holepit and Abby Springer; one great-grandson, Ethan Holepit; two sisters, Marilyn Eversole and Jeannie Sirk, of Florida; three nephews, Mike Sirk, Roger Crawford and Mark Buckhannon; and one niece, Robyn Eversole.
In addition to her parents, Lenora is preceded in death by her husband, Willis Perrine; infant brother, Sir John Crawford and sister, Menoka Buckhannon.
Family and friends will be received at Dorsey Funeral Home, 701 S. Pike St., Shinnston, from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, and from 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, until the 11 a.m. service with Pastor Rich Schimansky officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Mt. Clare, W.Va.
