Michelle (Wolfe) Neer, 43, of Morgantown, passed away in the Mon General Medical Center on Thursday, May 30, 2024, following a courageous eight-month battle with cancer.
Born in Morgantown on Oct. 13, 1980, she was raised in Point Marion, Pa., a daughter of Linda (Wilson) Wolfe, of Morgantown, and the late Larry Wolfe, who passed away on Aug. 22, 2023.
A 1999 graduate of Albert Gallatin High School, Michelle also graduated from West Virginia University. She was employed as a math teacher at Preston High School in Kingwood.
An avid fan of the WVU mountaineers, Michelle was also a supporter of the Morgantown High Mohigans while cheering on her children’s teams and all of her Mohigans. In the summer, she enjoyed going to the beach with her family.
Surviving, in addition to her mother, is her husband, Chad Neer; three children, Aliyah Lambert, of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Caleb and Lukas Neer, both at home; one grandson, Ridley Lambert; a brother, Michael Wolfe (Maureen), of Pittsburgh; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; and her best friend, Sheri Nine, of Port Orange, Fla.
The family will receive friends in the Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, Pa., from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4. A funeral service will begin at 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
