Ellsworth Molter

Ellsworth Elbin Molter, born July 23, 1941, in Morgantown, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024.

He was a graduate of Morgantown High School and worked for Asplundh Tree Expert and Tree Preservation Company as a general foreman for 40-plus years until his retirement at the age of 62.

He enjoyed traveling with his daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren. He loved fishing and woodworking, and he was always there to lend a hand and was a prankster at heart.

In addition to his parents, Earl and Pearl Molter, he is preceded in death by his wife, Judy; daughters, Sherri and Kristi; and his brothers, Dick, Bill, Earl and Jackie.

Ell is survived by his daughter, Leshell “Shelli” and her husband Greg Cason; grandchildren, Rachael, Kelby and Miranda Cason; nephews and nieces, Jack, Randy, Debbie and Mike Molter and Diane and Ed Baxter.

Although he will be loved and deeply missed by all, we have peace in knowing that his immense faith in the Lord carried him home.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home from 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 28. A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the 700 Club or plant a tree in the Monongahela National Forest in his memory at shop.alivingtribute.org/products/appalachians
