Agnes Clough

Agnes Mae Clough, 52, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully on May 19, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family in the very place she was born.

A cherished daughter, loving wife, devoted mother and dear sister, Agnes leaves behind a legacy of kindness and care.

Born on Jan. 22, 1972, to Bernard Thurl Mathess and the late Darlene Fay Murray Mathess, Agnes embraced life with a warmth that touched everyone she knew. Her husband, James Clough, was her steadfast companion through life’s journey, alongside their children, Jessica Clough and Cody Clough. Agnes also shared a profound bond with her brother, B.J. Mathess (Beth), of Pennsylvania, her faithful dog, Pip, granddog, Peach and the extended Clough family in Michigan.

Agnes upheld the heart of her home with grace, serving as a homemaker whose greatest joy was caring for her loved ones. Her spirit lives on in the joy she found in going Jeepin’ and tending to her precious plants. Thoughtful in every sense, Agnes will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

The family requests that donations be made in Agnes’s memory to Alpha-1 Foundation, Attn: Development Office, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33134.

In honoring the wishes of Agnes, the McCulla Funeral Home has provided cremation services, and a Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
