Jesse Vaughn Bishoff, 90, of Kingwood, passed away at New Horizon Senior Living Center in Kingwood on Friday, May 17, 2024.
The son of the late Harold and Fern Lenhart Bishoff, he was born on June 18, 1933, in Bruceton Mills.
Jesse was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Cuzzart Wesleyan Church. He was a retired surface coal miner and heavy equipment mechanic.
Surviving are his wife, Bette S. Sypolt Bishoff; three sons and their spouses, of Bruceton Mills, Steve and Debbie Bishoff, Mark and Dreama Bishoff and Vaughn and LeAnne Bishoff; a stepson and his wife, Tom and Eveone Corl, of Jacksonville, Fla.; one brother and his wife, Dean and Marlene Bishoff, of Morgantown; and two sisters, Charlene Baker, of Cincinnati, and Carol Johnston and her husband, Jim, of Kingwood. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death in 1998 by his first wife, Ruth Ann Bishoff; and a brother, Robert Bishoff.
Family and friends will be received from 3-7 p.m. at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills on Sunday, May 19. Visitation will continue from 10 a.m. at the Cuzzart Wesleyan Church in Cuzzart on Monday, May 20, until the 11 a.m. funeral service, with Pastor Joe Carpenter officiating. Burial with military services provided by the WV Honor Guard and Preston County VFW will follow at the Centenary Cemetery in Bruceton Mills.
