Umbrella Arts will host its second showcase Sunday at the Terrace Event Center at West Virginia Botanic Gardens.
Doors will open at 2 p.m.
The showcase features performances in dance, theater arts and musical theater as well as a gallery of student artwork and creative writing.
Drawing inspiration from the company’s rainbow umbrella logo, each group of young artists has prepared a performance based on a color. The students have also collaborated on cross-disciplinary works, such as dance inspired by poetry.
Umbrella Arts is a performing and visual arts education organization in Cheat Lake offering a range of artistic learning opportunities such as dance, visual arts, music, acting, stagecraft, voice, creative writing and more.
