Forbes, Morgan to face off in November’s race for sheriff

Both candidates for Monongalia County sheriff were unopposed in Tuesday’s primary election.
It was the first time either of the men ran for office.

Democratic candidate Todd Forbes is from Pursglove. He has spent 27 years as a Monongalia County deputy.
He garnered 6,024 votes.
Republican Jason Morgan lives in Westover. He resigned after 15 years as a deputy to run for the sheriff’s position.
Morgan grabbed 6,037 votes.

Forbes and Morgan will face each other in the General Election in November.
All results are unofficial until the canvassing of votes at 9 a.m. Monday at Election Center.
