MaryAnne Markusic, 82, of Morgantown, passed away on March 4, 2024, in Orlando, Fla.
She was born on June 29, 1941.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Nicole Markusic; and is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Markusic; daughter, Stephanie Hales; three grandchildren; son-in-law, Craig Hales; and brother, John Hugo.
MaryAnne was a devoted wife, mother, aunt and friend. She always prioritized the needs of others above her own. Her caring nature touched the lives of many.
While living in Morgantown, she dedicated countless hours to St. Francis De Sales Catholic School, helping in their fundraising efforts.
She enjoyed cruising, living in Florida and having lunch at her favorite beachside restaurant while listening to live music.
A Funeral Mass in memory of MaryAnne will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 18, at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Morgantown.
May she rest in peace.
