It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alice Kathaleen Griffith, a beloved soul who left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know and love her. Alice Kathaleen Griffith, 91, of Danielson, Conn., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023.
Alice was born on July 22, 1932, in Tunnelton, W.Va.
Alice brought warmth, compassion, and joy to this world. Her journey on this earth was a testament to the power of kindness, resilience and unwavering love she embodied in every action. She leaves behind her legacy of unconditional love, touching the lives of many.
A loving mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother who was also a devoted friend whose presence lit up the room. She will be remembered for her charismatic energy and the love she had for her family.
Alice’s legacy will live on through her son, Randy Spahr and his wife, Maureen; daughter, Vicki Kirkconnell and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Kyle Spahr, Chad Spahr, Shawn Spahr and Brittni Soucy; two brothers, Dale Spahr and Tim Spahr; and two sisters, Shirley Trickett and Peggy Goodwin.
She was predeceased by her husband, Harold Griffith and sister, Patricia Long.
The impact of Alice’s life extends far beyond the words we use to describe her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends.
A celebration of Alice’s life will take place at the West Virginia National Veteran’s Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Friday May 17.
