Lucille Marie (Murray) Cassino, 81, of Liberty Street, Morgantown, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024.
She was the daughter of O.L. “Bill” and Rachel (Rissie) Murray,
of Dellslow.
Lucille was employed at WVU for 32 years. She managed J.A.C.S. for 29 years and loved working with the students. She retired at the age of 75 in 2018. She received the Student Life Hall of Fame Award along with other employees.
Lucille loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, special friends, going to Bingo, trips to the casino, going to the beach and dining out.
Lucille is survived by her son, Michael (Nina) Cassino, of York, Pa.; daughter, Michelle (Timothy “Paul”) Martin, of Morgantown; her grandchildren, Shayla and Dylan (Lyn), of Morgantown, Sam, Ike and Leha, all of York, Pa.; brothers, Lorn and Art Murray, of Morgantown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband in 2022, Robert “Bob” Cassino; sister, Anna Lee Mayfield; two brothers, Sam and Terry Murray; and special friend, Donna Ringer in 2023.
Friends and family will gather at the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, May 2, and again from 11:30 a.m. on Friday, May 3, until time of services at 1 p.m., with Kyle Ringer officiating. It was Lucille’s wish that all those in attendance wear blue and gold. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Paul, Dylan, Glenn, Sam, Ike, Bill and Keith. Honorary pallbearers will be Lorn and Mike.
