The West Virginia University Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Design is hosting Kiddie Days, a free event providing parents, educators and young children with a chance to learn about food and farming through experiential opportunities with animals and age-appropriate crafts.
The three-day event kicked off Tuesday and continues today and Thursday at WVU Animal Science Research, Education and Outreach Center, 1441 Stewartstown Road, Morgantown.
Tours are given 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.
School tours are scheduled in the mornings. Individuals, families and small groups are scheduled in the afternoons.
Some of the animals that will be seen on the farm are llamas, donkeys, baby dairy calves, bottle lambs, chickens, baby pigs and Hearts of Gold dogs. The WVU Insect Zoo will have a display and live insects.
Reservations are not needed but small groups, families and individuals are welcome to attend the event after noon.
